ASPEN, Colo.—A Colorado man is charged with interfering with four Aspen police officers for allegedly getting with inches of their faces and circling them on foot while repeatedly using a vulgarity.

The Aspen Daily News reports ( ) 32-year-old Quincy Rouson pleaded not guilty Wednesday to interfering and resisting.

Rouson was arrested Sept. 17. A police report says one officer asked Rouson to stop swearing and to leave but he would not. The report says the officer felt threatened by Rouson’s actions.

No phone listing could be found for Rouson. He requested a public defender but it’s not clear if one has been appointed.

City prosecutor Jim True says he’s reviewing the case. True acknowledges Rouson’s right to free speech but says the law makes it a crime to interfere with police.
