COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A 73-year-old man stopped a gunman trying to rob him by giving him a punch, forcing the gunman to flee.
Colorado Springs police say a man came to the victim’s door on Monday and asked for directions. When the victim handed the man a map, the man pulled a gun and attempted to force his way into the house.
Police say the victim pushed back and punched the gunman, who slammed the elderly man’s head into the porch. The victim was taken to a hospital where he was treated for a head injury and cuts. The victim was not identified.
