COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—A Commerce City politician is facing drunken driving charges after he was arrested by police.
Police say Joe Sandoval was pulled over just before midnight Saturday.
According to KMGH-TV ( ), Sandoval was issued a summons on a DUI charge that requires him to appear in court in 30 days.
Sandoval is a candidate for City Council.
Sandoval also pleaded guilty in 2009 to driving while ability impaired after he rolled his car. Sandoval was sentenced to 24 hours community service and paid a $1,100 fine.
