A college student was injured over the weekend in an ATV accident in Boulder County.
The accident happened at 4:35 p.m. Sunday on Bunce School Road on U.S. Forest Service land, according to a Boulder County Sheriff’s Office media release.
A male Colorado State University student was riding on the back of a two-seat ATV when it hit a rock, causing the student to fall backward and hit his head.
He was wearing a helmet, but it fell off as he fell backward, the sheriff’s office said.
He was taken by helicopter to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland.
Further details on the student’s injuries were not released.
