Denver police are investigating what may have been a possible drive-by shooting tonight, after a man walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Around 9:15 p.m., officers were called to West Alameda Avenue and Osceola Street, on a report of shots fired, said Detective John White, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

When officers arrived there was no one at the intersection.

Minutes later, a man walked into Denver Health Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

His name was not immediately known.

Family members may have driven the man to the hospital, White said.

The vehicle used in the possible drive by was described as a gray sedan.
