FRISCO, Colo.—A 31-year-old New Castle woman has died after the car she was in struck a moose on Interstate 70 near Frisco.

The Summit County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Tishe Marie Quintana. The Summit Daily News reports ( ) Quintana was a passenger in the car that hit the moose Sunday night.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid says the car’s driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and was released.

The crash also killed the moose. Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman Mike Porras says the meat was donated per protocol.
