DENVER—The Colorado Symphony Orchestra has canceled half of its 20 scheduled concerts over the next two months because of budget cutbacks.

Board co-chairman Jerome Kern says the orchestra will save hundreds of thousands of dollars by cutting concerts and musician salaries.

According to the Denver Post ( ), the orchestra will return to full operations in early December.
