Just in time for Independence Day, has released a rather patriotic music video for her new single “National Anthem,” out July 8.
A$AP Rocky (How or why he’s not dating Ke$ha, we’ll never know) plays President JFK, and Del Rey takes on the role of Jackie O.
Pulling out her pearls and acting chops, Del Rey manages to make the more than seven-minute video visually stunning, as well as entertaining, for the most part.
A$AP Rocky the video has,”Some cool trippy shit, some real 2015 shit. People are going to get it in three years, and that’s the whole purpose of it.”
The track is the newest taken from her debut LP, “Born To Die” which was released at the beginning of 2012.
The video reads like a home movie from the couple, featuring everything from birthday parties to the assassination of the president. If Instagram had a video option, this would be it.
