Fall Harvest Brewfest.

The third annual Fall Harvest Brewfest will take place Saturday in Fort Collins. From 6 to 9 p.m., visitors can taste samples from a wide variety of brewers, sample local food and enjoy musical entertainment. Tickets are $50 for VIP, and $35 for general admission. A 5-ounce tasting glass will be included with each admission, which includes unlimited tastings.

Big Feed in Yuma.

The fifth annual Big Feed takes place Saturday and Oct. 16 at the Yuma County Fairgrounds in Yuma. This event brings people together in a family reunion, potluck dinner, symposium, festival atmosphere to discuss work presented by artists, musicians, critics and curators. The event is open to the public. Cost of entry is one food item to share.

Cool Science in Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival will take place Saturday through Oct. 22. The festival will offer a variety of science-related events at locations throughout the city. The week-long festival kicks off with a carnival day at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs campus. Additional events throughout the week include nature walks, cave explorations, lectures, outdoor treasure hunts and more.

Start your coffins.

The Emma Crawford Festival and Memorial Coffin Race will take place Oct. 29 in downtown Manitou Springs. This annual event includes a parade and a coffin race, where teams of competitors construct “coffins” to race to the finish. or 719-685-5089
