CASTLE ROCK — A Castle Rock mother who is accused of killing her two young children waived her preliminary hearing Friday.
Kelli Lynn Murphy, 42, will appear in Douglas County District Court on Dec. 19 for arraignment, when she is scheduled to enter a formal plea.
Murphy faces six charges in connection with the death of her son, Liam, 9, and daughter, Madigan, 6.
The two children were smothered in May, according to the Douglas County Coroner’s Office.
Murphy, wearing an orange jail jumpsuit, shook and cried as she answered questions from Judge Vincent White.
No details about the crime have been made public, and the case file is sealed.
