The University of Denver men’s soccer team defeated visiting UNLV 3-1 on Sunday. Jarod Stigall, Alex Tarnoczi and Blair Jeralds scored for the Pioneers.

Goalkeeper Oliver Brown returned after missing seven games because of an injury. He made two saves.

• Kristen Hamilton and Kalie Vaughn each had two goals and an assist, leading the DU women’s soccer team to a 6-0 rout of Troy.

Washington State blanks CU.

The Colorado women’s soccer team was shut out by Washington State 4-0 in Pullman, Wash. The Buffs dropped to 3-8-2 overall, 0-4-1 Pac-12. The Buffs were outshot 5-0 in the first 15 minutes of the game.

Skyhawks stay perfect.

Fort Lewis, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division II, got a goal in the eighth minute and made it stand as the Skyhawks (12-0, 8-0 RMAC) defeated the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (6-6, 4-4) 1-0.

Metro State falls in overtime.

Colorado Mesa scored 1:29 into overtime to defeat Metro State 2-1 in men’s soocer. It was the Mavericks’ first win over Metro in the 11th meeting between the two schools.
