MIAMI — Forecasters say Hurricane Jova is gaining strength in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Sunday evening that the Category 2 storm had maximum sustained winds of 100 mph and was centered about 305 miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. Forecasters expect Jova could become a major hurricane by tonight or Tuesday.
