ARLINGTON, Texas — Magglio Ordoñez will miss the rest of the postseason because of an ankle injury, the second Detroit Tigers outfielder out of the AL Championship Series.
Manager Jim Leyland says Ordoñez is having problems with the right ankle that he broke last season, an injury that caused him to miss more than a month this summer. Leyland said Sunday that Ordoñez will be replaced on the ALCS roster.
Cardinals shuffle roster.
The Cardinals added right-handers Kyle McClellan and Lance Lynn to their NL Championship Series roster.
To make room for the additions, the Cardinals removed right-hander Jake Westbrook and utilityman Skip Schumaker.
