Denver police were investigating a stabbing Monday afternoon, after a woman allegedly injured a man on a Regional Transportation District bus in Denver.

Shortly before 3 p.m., officers received phone calls from bus passengers who said the woman stabbed the man near the throat, said a Denver Police spokesman.

The bus stopped at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Perry Street, near a 7-Eleven. The woman, whose name was not released, ran away after the bus stopped.

Police found and arrested the woman a few blocks away. The man was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries. His name was not released.
