BOULDER — Colorado receiver Paul Richardson said he is recovering well from a left knee sprain he sustained in practice a week ago. It’s uncertain how much time Richardson will miss.

“Rehab is going awesome,” Richardson said Wednesday. “I’m riding (stationary) bikes. I’m doing a lot with my knee right now. I’m not sure when I’ll be back. We’re just taking it one day at a time.”

Richardson was not wearing a heavy knee brace.

When Colorado announced the injury last Saturday at Stanford Stadium, school officials said Richardson could be out three weeks. Richardson will make the trip to Seattle and help out the wide receivers from the sideline. when CU plays Washington.

“The guys looked awesome (vs. Stanford),” Richardson said of his replacements. “I was proud of Keenan (Canty). I joked with him a lot. I called him ‘Little P-Rich.’ He made me proud.”

In other injury news, coach Jon Embree said senior tailback-turned-cornerback Brian Lockridge (ankle) won’t play Saturday.
