Denver-based MapQuest will roll out a new feature today called MapQuest Vibe. Among other things, the feature gives users “local knowledge” of 50,000 neighborhoods and 27,000 cities across the country.
For example, the information covers “not just the best restaurant in Denver, but also the best Italian restaurant in the LoDo neighborhood in Denver,” MapQuest’s Vijay Bangaru wrote in a blog post.
Each neighborhood will receive a Vibe Score, which ranks its popularity based on a number of factors, including historical searches on MapQuest.
