A 31-year-old Denver woman was formally charged by Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey today with lying to the Denver Police Department.
Kathy Johnson was released on $750 bond. She faces one charge of attempting to influence a public servant and six counts of false reporting.
According to a press release from the Denver DA’s office, Johnson filed multiple false reports from Aug. 5 thru Oct. 4 that she was being threatened, followed and burglarized.
An investigation by the Denver Police Department led detectives to believe that all those incidents were fabricated.
Johnson is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court October 21.
