DENVER—A 31-year-old woman accused of repeatedly making false reports to the Denver Police Department has been charged.
District Attorney Mitch Morrissey says Kathy Johnson faces charges of attempting to influence a public servant and six counts of false reporting.
Charging documents say that between Aug. 5 and Oct. 4, Johnson filed a series of reports that she was being threatened, followed and burglarized. Prosecutors say a police investigation led detectives to believe that she had been lying about all of the reported incidents.
Johnson has been released on $750 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 21.
