Colorado’s next state Supreme Court justice is among the three names a selection commission turned over today to Gov. John Hickenlooper.
First Judicial District Court Judge Brian Boatright, Hall & Evans law firm member Frederick Martinez, and Patrick O’Rourke, head litigation attorney for the University of Colorado.
One of the three will replace Justice Alex Martinez, who plans to step down by the end of October to take a position as Denver’s safety manager.
Hickenlooper has until Oct. 28 to choose from among the three candidates.
