Gilpin County Sheriff’s officers are investigating after a baby was found unattended in the parking garage of a Central City casino Friday night.
A dispatcher with the sheriff’s office confirmed that the baby had been found alone in a parked car in the Century Parking Garage just before 6:30 p.m.
Deputies were able to locate the parents.
The 9-month old baby was unharmed and has been released to the grandmother.
It’s unclear how long the baby was unattended in the car, or whether parents will face charges.
