Authorities are asking for help in identifying a man thought to be behind six bank robberies in northeast Denver.
The Wig Out Bandit is a black male, between 40 and 50 years old and 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall with a slender build. In the first instance he wore a wig; in subsequent robberies he wore a ball cap. The robberies:
• Aug. 1; Public Service Credit Union; 815 Colorado Blvd.
• Aug. 23; Wells Fargo Bank; 1001 S. Monaco St.
• Sept. 19; FirstBank, 2850 Quebec St.
• Sept. 27; Bank of the West; 2970 Quebec St.
• Oct. 10; U.S. Bank; 6333 E. Colfax Ave.
• Oct. 13; FirstBank; 2850 Quebec St.
