COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Anti-Wall Street protesters in Denver and Colorado Springs are avoiding arrests by not setting up tents in city parks.
Protesters in Colorado Springs took down their tents Sunday after getting warnings from police. On Monday, the Colorado Springs Gazette ( ) reported that protesters have been taking naps in shifts and not using tents.
Protesters at Civic Center Park in Denver slept on the sidewalk to avoid no-camping ban in parks overnight.
At least 47 protesters were taken into custody in Denver on Friday and Saturday, mostly for refusing to leave the park. But there were no arrests on Sunday or Monday.
