AURORA, Colo.—Three utilities that are members of the South Metro Water Supply Authority say they won’t take part in a water-sharing agreement among Denver, Aurora and the South Metro Authority, but officials say the agreement can still go into effect.
Greg Baker of Aurora’s water utility tells the Aurora Sentinel ( ) that the agreement doesn’t require all 15 members of the South Metro Authority to accept water in order to be successful.
The agreement calls for members of the authority to get water from Aurora and Denver’s utilities when they have more than they need.
