DENVER—Educators and students are complaining after Denver’s regional bus system announced plans to end most of the fixed-route bus service that links the Colorado Center for the Blind with apartments used by scores of students.
The Regional Transportation District is planning to eliminate all or parts of at least three bus routes that blind students use to get from their apartments to the center.
According to the Denver Post ( ), the Center for the Blind attracts students from around the country to get training in how to live independently, including how to navigate transit systems.
