Denver police are investigating a shooting that landed two men in the hospital early Sunday morning.
Shortly after 2 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of Broadway and West Ellsworth Avenue, on a report of shots fired, said Sonny Jackson, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
There were no victims or suspects at the scene by the time officers arrived.
A short time later, officers were notified when a man walked into the Medical Center of Aurora with a gunshot wound to his foot. Around the same time, a man walked into Denver Health Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his arm.
Neither of the gunshot wounds were life-threatening.
Investigators determined the men, whose names have not been released, were involved in the same shooting.
It was not known whether the two had been shooting at each other.
The gang unit is continuing to investigate the shooting. Both of the men failed to show up for follow-up interviews with police Monday morning, Jackson said.
