Consumers Energy, one of the nation’s largest combined utilities, has signed a contract with Vestas- American Wind Technology for 56 Vestas wind-turbine generators for Consumers Energy’s Lake Wind Energy Park in Mason County, Mich.
The contract calls for Vestas to manufacture, deliver and commission the V100-1.8 megawatt turbine units.
