Jerry Flannery, Commerce City’s city manager for the past 4 1/2 years, is leaving his post to become the chief executive/general manager of the Highlands Ranch Community Association.

Flannery’s last day as city manager is Dec. 2. Commerce City’s City Council will discuss the search for a new city manager Monday, said city spokeswoman Michelle Halstead.

Flannery oversaw huge changes in the city, including the arrival of the Kings Soopers MarketPlace and the purchase of the 65-acre Mile High Greyhound Park for redevelopment.
