The launch of the nation’s next-generation weather satellite has been delayed from Oct. 27 to Oct. 28 to allow an engineering review. Leaky components on the Delta II rocket previously had pushed the launch date from Oct. 25 to Oct. 27.
Ball Aerospace & Technologies of Boulder built the NPOESS Preparatory Project satellite, and United Launch Alliance of Centennial is providing the rocket.
