GOLDEN — Dan Palmer ran for 71 yards and three touchdowns Saturday, leading Colorado Mines to a 48-33 win over Western State.
The Orediggers’ (6-2, 4-2 RMAC) offense led the way to ensure the win. Besides Palmer’s touchdowns, Clay Garcia finished with 319 yards passing and three touchdowns to three different receivers. Diamond Gillis caught a game-high nine passes for 112 yards and finished the game with 205 all-purpose yards.
The Mountaineers (1-7, 1-5) put up a fight, with Chase Yeager rushing for a career-high 137 yards in his first extended performance of the season and Jamie Jensen passing for more than 200 yards for the fourth time this season for four touchdowns.
Western State finished with more than 400 yards of total offense.

DURANGO — The Grizzlies (5-3, 3-3) piled up 536 total yards while limiting the Skyhawks (2-6, 1-5) to just 11 first downs and 177 total yards for the victory.
Trevor Eggleston completed 25-of-41 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns to lead Adams State, while Terjean Saffold rushed for 54 yards on 11 carries and scored two first-quarter touchdowns.
Dustin Bolt accounted for all 10 of the Grizzlies’ third-quarter points, hitting a 22-yard field goal, catching a 23-yard scoring pass and kicking the extra point.
Tim Jenkins threw for 141 yards and ran for a team-high 21 yards for the Skyhawks.
CSU-Pueblo 37, Colorado Mesa 7
PUEBLO — Powered by 430 yards of offense, the ThunderWolves (8-0, 6-0) remained the only undefeated team in the RMAC with a win over the Mavericks (2-6, 1-5).
CSU-Pueblo had a strong showing on both sides of the ball, with quarterback Ross Dausin throwing for 253 yards and touchdown, while the defense held Colorado Mesa to 89 yards in the air and intercepted quarterback Steve Romero four times.
