A University of Hawaii law school interim associate dean has joined a growing number of Facebook users suing the social networking company over allegations of federal wiretap law violations.
The lawsuit from interim associate dean for student services Cynthia Quinn is similar to those filed in other states claiming Facebook traces users’ Internet browsing history without permission, even when users aren’t logged on.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Honolulu, seeks class- action status for millions of Facebook users. The Associated Press
