NEW YORK — A U.S. citizen who holds an Iranian passport pleaded not guilty Monday to charges that he plotted to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States. Manssor Arbabsiar, 56, entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Manhattan to a five-count indictment returned last week. Arbabsiar’s attorney, Sabrina Shroff, declined to comment after the proceeding.
