COTOPAXI, Colo.—A Pueblo West man has died in a rock climbing accident in western Fremont County.
Fremont County Sheriff’s Capt. Don Pinover says the man was an inexperienced rock climber who fell about 80 feet to his death. Authorities identified him as Kelly Riggins.
Investigators tell the Pueblo Chieftain ( ) it appears he did not have his rigging attached properly when he fell.
