COMMERCE CITY — Students at Adams City High School were sent home early Monday because of a “funky, sulphur, gaslike odor,” said John Albright, a spokesman for Adams County School District 14.
Over the weekend, maintenance crews cleaned out grease traps in the school’s kitchen, which likely caused the lingering stench, Albright said. The school’s 1,750 students were expected back in class today.
