A Longmont man was arrested Monday on suspicion of successfully robbing a convenience store on Sept. 28 by giving the clerk a “creepy look” and telling the clerk he has been to prison before, according to police reports.
Richard Duran, 31, was booked at the Boulder County Jail on Monday after he was arrested on a warrant for robbery and misdemeanor theft.
According to reports, Duran entered the 7-Eleven on the 600 block of Main Street at about 9 p.m. on Sept 28, retrieved a 12-pack each of Bud Light and Tecate, placed them on the check-out counter and told the clerk that he planned to take them. She told police she pulled the beer away from him and told him he could not steal the beer. He then gave her a “creepy look” and said he had done prison time, so she let him take the beer.
