An elementary school teacher in Denver told police she left a note at her school saying “there is a bomb inside.”
According to the District Attorney’s Office, Jennifer Gomes allegedly left the note because she did not want to be at school that day.
According to the police report, Gomes admitted to leaving the note at the main entrance of Escuela de Guadalupe School on Oct. 17. The school is located at the corner of West 34th Avenue and Pecos Street.
Officials at the private, Catholic, bilingual school told 9NEWS Gomes has been suspended. She has taught physical education at the school since the spring of 2010.
