RIFLE, Colo.—Authorities in western Colorado are releasing more information about an angler who hasn’t been seen since he fell into the Colorado River earlier this month.

Garfield County sheriff’s officials on Thursday identified him as 52-year-old Bill Browne of the Houston area.

They say Browne was fishing with two other men Oct. 14 when their boat collided with a bridge pillar near a boat launch area in Rifle, ejecting all three.

Searchers have been unable to find Browne. The other two men survived.
