DENVER—An estimated 25,000 Xcel Energy customers along Colorado’s Front Range are still without power following a fall snowstorm that downed trees and power lines.

Xcel’s outages were reported in and around Boulder, Fort Collins and Greeley on Friday. The company says power is expected to be restored by Friday afternoon to most customers.

In Loveland, the municipally-owned utility said service has been restored to all but 16 customers. Most of those still without power are in Big Thompson Canyon.

The storm that began Tuesday and continued on Wednesday dumped up to a foot and a half of snow along the Front Range.

Some cities are helping people dispose of all those down trees that snapped under the heavy snow.
