One firefighter is in the hospital this afternoon with a leg injury after battling a house fire in southwest Denver.
The fire was reported at around 4 p.m. at a single family home in the 2300 block of South Linley Court. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, but during a walkthrough, one Denver firefighter suffered a leg injury.
Scott Heiss, acting as a spokesman for the fire department, said the firefighter was transported to Denver Health. Heiss said the injuries were non-life threatening.
One woman who was inside the home at the time the fire started, also suffered minor burns, but did not have to be transported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
