VAIL — Vail residents got the all-clear late Sunday to drink their water after an afternoon rollover on Interstate 70 appeared to have contaminated Black Gore Creek.

A spokeswoman for Eagle River Water & Sanitation District said tests showed the spill did not reach the drinking-water supply.

A semi-trailer truck turned over on a runaway-truck ramp near Big Horn Road at about 1 p.m. and dropped several containers of methanol, a solvent used in a wide variety of products and industrial processes.
