University of Denver men’s soccer sophomore midfielder Zach Bolden, a graduate of Denver East, scored in the 50th minute, giving the Pioneers a 1-0 victory over visiting Seattle on Sunday.
With DU’s win and UNLV’s loss to Sacramento State, Denver (5-9-3, 3-5-1 MPSF) clinched a spot in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament, which will be held at CIBER Field on the DU campus Nov. 10-13.
Falcons rally for 2-1 victory.
The Air Force men’s soccer team defeated visiting Cal State Bakersfield in a 2-1, come-from-behind decision. AFA’s Ben Chavez and Brian Klazura scored, and Kevin Durr had two assists for the Falcons.
CU women lose home finale.
The University of Colorado women’s soccer team was defeated by Southern California 1-0 in the Buffaloes’ final home game of the season. Colorado finished with a 1-5-1 home record (4-12-2, 1-8-1 Pac-12), and USC improved to 7-12 overall, 4-6 Pac-12.
Ducks sweep Buffs in volleyball.
The University of Colorado volleyball team fell to No. 16 Oregon in straight sets (25-21, 25-18, 25-18) in Eugene, Ore.
Kerra Schroeder recorded 12 kills and 15 digs to lead the Buffs.
