BOULDER, Colo.—The University of Colorado is giving bonuses to employees who conserve energy and cut carbon emissions in their buildings.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), three building proctors have been given the bonuses because they cut energy use by at least 5 percent over the previous year.

Campus building director Moe Tabrizi says the three buildings saved the school more than $12,000 and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 140,000 pounds.
