The Denver-based Gary-Williams Co. said Wednesday that it is selling its Wynnewood, Okla., refinery and related assets to CVR Energy Texas for $525 million — plus working capital of $100 million.
When Gary-Williams acquired the Wynnewood refinery from Kerr-McGee, the plant was facing potential closure, said Ron Williams, CEO of Gary-Williams.
CVR plans to retain all refinery employees and the company’s Oklahoma City marketing operations, the company said.
