FARMINGTON, N.M.—A Farmington, N.M., woman remains incarcerated in an Archuleta County, Colo., jail on suspicion of killing a man.
Archuleta County Undersheriff Jim Saunders says 37-year-old Elizabeth Blan faces second-degree murder charges for the death of 27-year-old Anthony Silva of Pagosa Springs, Colo. The Daily Times ( ) reports Silva suffered a single stab wound to the chest.
Archuleta County dispatch officials were alerted to the stabbing at a residence early on the morning of Oct. 28. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered Blan at the residence.
Silva was flown to a local hospital where he died.
The details of the killing remain unclear, and the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate.
Blan was arrested in 2007 for battery against a peace officer and resisting and evading.
