BOULDER, Colo.—Students at the University of Colorado are used to registering for classes online. School regents are considering a new option for students to register to vote at the same time.
The Daily Camera newspaper reports () that CU Regent Joe Neguse of Boulder will propose giving students the option to register to vote in Colorado when they log on to student information systems to register for classes.
His proposal also encourages CU campuses to push for more polling places on campus.
College students are eligible to vote where they go to school but don’t always know they can vote in Colorado. Neguse says his proposal would make it easier for students to vote.
