Walt Disney and YouTube are teaming up to create family-oriented Web pages on each other’s websites, the companies announced today.

The pages are to be launched in early 2012 and are part of the relaunch of Disney Co.’s Disney Interactive website.

They will include original and existing programming from Disney and its cable channel, content culled from YouTube and user-generated videos.

“With online video consumption exploding and YouTube at the center of that trend, we see an opportunity for Disney Interactive and YouTube to bring Disney’s legacy of storytelling to a new generation of families and Disney enthusiasts on the platforms they prefer,” said Jimmy Pitaro, co-president of Disney Interactive.

The announcement comes a week after Disney unveiled separate deals with Netflix Inc. and Inc. to license its movies and television shows.
