Douglas County-based Tw Telecom Inc. reported Monday that its third-quarter earnings fell 9.2 percent on a higher tax bill, but operating income rose, beating analyst expectations. Tw Telecom posted a profit of $14.6 million, or 10 cents a share, down from $16.1 million, or 10 cents, a year earlier. Revenue increased 7.5 percent to $344.5 million.
