Voters in Brighton elected two new members to the City Council on Tuesday. A third new member will be determined by a runoff.
Unofficial results showed Kirby Wallin with 54 percent of the vote in the race for the Ward 1 council seat, over Rich Rodriguez. In Ward 3, Lynn Baca had 63 percent of the vote to lead incumbent Rob Farina.
In Ward 4, J.W. Edwards had 41 percent; Jeff Blair, 34 percent; Fidel Balderas, 18 percent; and Anthony Dyson, 7 percent, according to the city.
There will be a runoff election for the Ward 4 seat. The city has not announced the date. Ward 2 Councilwoman Cynthia Martinez ran unopposed.
