The Sporting News conducted a midseason poll asking 111 NFL players from 31 teams, “Who is the most overrated player in the NFL?” New York Jets cornerback Derrelle Revis? Nope. Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher? Negative. How about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo? Wrong again, but getting closer — he was second. The most overrated player according to the poll was none other than . . . (drumroll, please): Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. But considering all the criticism he gets from the “experts” — Merril Hoge, et al. — how can Tebow be overrated in the first place? The Denver Post
