DENVER—Denver has turned over thousands of documents sought in an excessive force lawsuit, weeks after a federal judge threatened to send U.S. marshals to city offices to seize them.

The Denver Post reports ( ) that Assistant City Attorney Thomas Bigler Thursday told the judge that the city has turned over 105,000 pages of documents and 2,300 CDs and DVDs to James Moore’s attorneys. Senior U.S. District Judge John Kane has ordered eight years’ worth of documents be turned over.

Bigler says more documents are on their way.

Moore claims that police beat him in March 2008 without provocation to where he lost consciousness and CPR was needed to revive him. Moore’s attorneys are trying to prove a pattern of abuse.
