COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs woman hid in a bedroom closet for nearly five minutes, at one point tapping answers on her phone to answer questions from a 911 dispatcher as police rushed to her home during a break in.
Two men were arrested Nov. 2 after the woman reported they found her hiding in the closet and ran when she screamed at them. The drama was captured on audio of the woman’s 911 call released Thursday by police.
KMGH-TV reports ( ) that police arrested James Esquibel and Justin Belcher on suspicion of burglary.
The woman called police when she noticed two men had jumped a fence to her yard. She then reported that they broke a window and hid while on the call to 911.
No injuries were reported.
